Had the distinct pleasure of meeting Dr. Mee when he successfully carried out open heart surgery for transposition of Great arteries [TGA] in 2002. He was five months old at the time and now he is a robust 12 year old. Thank you Dr. Mee I have always remembered you for giving my son a 2nd chance.
Roger corrected our daughter's Fallot's Tetralogy defect in 1983 at 18 mths at the RCH. She is now married and a new mother. Roger's world-leading techniques have turned cardiac surgery from "last resort" to routinely available to any child born with a cardiac defect. Our heartfelt thanks Roger.
In April of 1999, at 12 years old I was diagnosed with a septal defect, a huge hole in my heart and was givin less than 3 months to live. Dr. Mee saved my life. I am now 25 years old and have a son and husband. I owe everything to this man!
My son, Jarrad Fraser, was born on 20 May 1982. He was born with a congenital heart abnormality - Fallots Tetrology.. Mr Mee operated on Jarrad at 3 months and at 9 yrs. He is now married, a father of 1, and a teacher. His life has been a joy, all thanks to Mr Mee.
Back in 1984 Roger performed cardiac surgery on my 6 week old son, he had a very slight chance of coing through the operation if it wasn't for Rogers skill he wouldn't be here and living an active life. Thank Roger Mee words can never express my gratitude to you and your team
My name is Danielle Langdown and I am 32 and Dr Mee looked after me in 1980 and now I am 32 and all I know is that I have to say thanks to him. So now with me at this age I can say to you all, that this man can do it, I know. So thank you.
This man is an angel! He saved my little boy in 1999. No other doctor would perform the complicated case that my son had and Dr. Mee was the only one who would operate! He is amazing! My family and I love this man!
