Vesicare Prescription for 30 pills for incontinence cost is $60 . and if I have to double up after 2 weeks it is too dear for me being a pensioner! Is there anything similar on PBS. My Specialist has not answered my phone calls or messages after my visit 10 days ago now. Very disappointed!

Vesicare comes in 5 and 10mg dose and the price for both is the same. Some pharmacies have a fixed price on these drugs, so shop around. Another drug not on the PBS (Betmiga) has excellent results without the anticholinergic side effects (dry mouth and constipation) at similar price . Cheaper anticholinergics have potentially more side effects especially the side effects mentioned. An alternative if medications don’t give you the desired response is to chat to your urologist regarding intravesical Botox, or sacroneuromodulation

Ditropan works, is on the PBS but does have an increased risk of side effects - dry mouth and constipation
