Questions solved

%{Count} solved patients' doubts in Doctoralia

  • Question about Cataract

Are both eyes done at the same time?

It is usually preferable to stage cataract surgery for the following reasons:1. Ease of patient recovery
    2. Ascertaining refractive results to help with intraocular lens choice for the second eye, which may be the dominant eye
    3. The risk of complications relating to the operative environment. Although this risk is exceptionally low, ophthalmic surgeons prefer to minimise risk wherever possible.
