  • Does breast descend again a year or two after this procedure?

Using a 'vertical scar' technique, which remodels the breast tissue itself, would be expected to provide better long-term results than an older-style 'anchor scar' technique which relies on the skin to maintain the shape. Skin has finite elasticity and can cause sagging of the breasts again after 2-3 years.
With the 'vertical scar' techqnue the rate at which breast descent occurs after the operation will depend on your individual tissues, but shouldn't need to be done again.

  • Question about Blepharoplasty

I'm in my mid twenties, currently on the disability pension, and am in desperate need of redundant skin/fat to be removed from my upper eyelids before my vision is obstructed. Can this procedure be done in a public hospital?

    Hello,
If your situation is causing difficulties with vision then, after seeing a suitable doctor, you may be placed on a public hospital waiting list to have reduction of the excess tissue.

You could try to get a referral to your local 'Eye and Ear' hospital and they would advise further.

Unfortunately because of the huge demand, patients with your (comparatively less severe) type of problem would be down on the list of priorities as other patients, who might need more urgent treatment, would have their surgery performed first.

    Sincerely,
    Dr Topchian
